Dr. Shelby Tweto graduated from Logan University in 2005 with a B.S. in Human Biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic. She started a family practice in Missoula, Montana, where she helped families thrive, from newborn babies to teens and adults in all phases and stages of life. Dr. Shelby knows how important it is to meet every patient where they are, to listen to their goals, to educate them about how their body works, and to help them make informed decisions about their health. Dr. Shelby enjoys helping athletes and non-athletes from all levels and age groups. Dr. Shelby’s holistic approach centers on injury prevention, intentional healing, and stress and anxiety reduction. Dr. Shelby’s principle foundations of health are to eat well, move well, and think well. By focusing on the central nervous system and removing interference caused by injury, chemical stress, or emotional stress, Dr. Shelby’s patients are able to heal and thrive. Dr. Shelby understands that no one has time for injury, and she focuses her care on teaching patients how to continue to do the things they love and stay active while they are recovering.
Dr. Shelby uses a variety of chiropractic adjustments ranging from gentle and low-force techniques to more traditional hands-on specific adjustments. The chiropractic adjustments remove the biomechanical pathology in the spine and extremities that interfere with the body’s ability to heal and to adapt to everyday stressors. Dr. Shelby will listen to what your needs are and tailor your care to incorporate soft tissue work, Graston, home exercises, Kinesio tape and cold laser to support and enhance the effects of the chiropractic adjustment. As your care provider, Dr. Shelby will begin with neurologic, orthopedic, and lifestyle exams. She will provide you with a report of findings and collaborate with you to meet your health goals.
“I find when people experience patient-centered chiropractic care, learn about how their body works, where healing comes from, and how to prevent injury, they choose chiropractic to maintain health and vitality.”
